Virtual sketch-up of camera layout

Using a 3d drafting program, I am able to plot out the focal range, zoom distance and viewing angle for all cameras to see blindspots, weakpoints and other areas that need attention.

This tool saves me hours of time plotting a job onsite. I use satellite imaging for dimensions that are very accurate.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for your company or home!

I specialize in wireless cameras, smart phone(Android, iPhone) viewing and playback. Specialized scenarios (till tappers, stalkers, etc.)

Star of the Giants - Skill Slot

This is a Japanese Skill Slot Machine based on the first Sports Manga(Comic).

WIKIPEDIA ENTRY

The lower glass must have broken sometime, now it has the "Game of Fate" print with Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, James Dean, and the 3 Stooges.

There was also blue painter's tape below, I thought it was from more damage, but it was just to quiet the speakers. I just lowered the volume control. The unique thing about this Slot compared to most American slots is the ability to stop the three reels at will. That is where the "Skill" comes in. I have no use for this and would like to sell it. It would go great in a small game room, movie room, etc.

Call me and make an offer!

It comes with tokens, keys, and works great.

Monitor Repair

The "Neck Board" of the CRT is the small PCB attached to the long skinny tube on the back of the CRT. It controls the electron gun inside the CRT. All three of the colors(Red, Green, and Blue) are driven by small signals, through amplifiers, to the guns. When one driver goes bad, the Monitor loses one color. This can be verified by trying a new video cable, a new video source, or using the test splash screen on most new digital monitors.

If the transistor has an open, instead of a good Base-Emitter junction.

If the Main Board is out of the game, you might as well do a cap kit, and check for bad/loose connections while it is out.

The costs are relative to the size of the monitor, due to the values of the components required.

Please call today to find out how I can get your game working!

Sega Optical Guns

The new generation of Optical Guns have some improvements over the old style.

The have threads molded into the frame of the gun, always helpful when squeezing the two halves together.

The walls are thicker, they have small solenoids for recoil.

New optic PCB has innovated optic can holder that securely holds the optic in place and prevents breakage of optic legs due to shock

Innovative "inductorless" optic sensor board for increased reliability and accuracy

This is all well and good, but the kids these days are as rough as ever.

The Optical Gun I am working on now has been beaten up pretty bad.

Pics to follow.

Guitar Freaks

I have a customer with over 100 games in 3 locations.

One of his most important games is Guitar Freaks. This game has seen its share of use, and abuse.

I first repaired the wiring harness using tape and zip ties as a temporary fix. I expected it to last maybe 3 months. To my surprise, it lasted over a year. Before I replaced the wiring harness, the harness was all jacked up. Someone had twisted the guitar at least 30 times around itself.

When I called my supplier, I was totally amazed at the retail price of the part,

ALMOST $600!!!

Item #: KON 501090
Price: $568.88
Availability: In Stock

I knew this was ludicrous. I also had to deal with another branch. The local branch had just closed. Luckily I was dealing with a salesperson in Syracuse, NY. The city I was born and raised. He agreed to drop the price to $450. The armored cable will perform for years for my customer.

After I replaced the cable, the guitar looked bare, it was missing decals. I went to Guitar Center to try and get some guitar stickers, but they didn't have any. Everyone was amazed at the "Guitar Hero" guitar. Maybe I can get some online.

Capt Fantastic

This is a great pinball from the 1970s

Capt Fantastic

There were many issues I came across as I was fixing this game.

There were 5 fuse holders that needed to be replaced. Also many lights and rubbers were replaced to help with the aesthetics of the machine. The Right flipper seemed to have a bad coil, but upon further investigation, there was a bad power wire going to that flipper.

This is when I learned about how most pinballs actually work.

All coils for the flippers, bumpers and slingshots are energized by their 30v or 60v power lines. The Logic in the CPU PCB brings the other side of the coil to ground, actuating the solenoid.

So, if you take a ground and touch the control line of the coil(the lead not attached to the other coils), the coil will energize actuating the solenoid.
